Newman-Janis algorithm’s application to regular black hole models

چکیده
We examine the Newman-Janis algorithm's application to an exact regular static solution sustained by a minimally coupled scalar field with nonstandard kinetic term. Although coordinate complexification leads Kerr-like black hole, we are facing discrepancies in Einstein's equations fairly small domain, for which regularizing parameter is responsible. Outside this most intriguing region, geometry nothing but standard Kerr spacetime.

متن کاملApplicability of the Newman-Janis Algorithm to Black Hole Solutions of Modified Gravity Theories
The Newman-Janis algorithm has been widely used to construct rotating black hole solutions from non-rotating counterparts. While this algorithm was developed within General Relativity, it has more recently been applied to non-rotating solutions in modified gravity theories. We find that the application of the Newman-Janis algorithm to an arbitrary non-GR spherically-symmetric solution introduce...
متن کاملThe Kerr-Newman-Gödel Black Hole
By applying a set of Hassan-Sen transformations and string dualities to the Kerr-Gödel solution of minimal D = 5 supergravity we derive a four parameter family of five dimensional solutions in type II string theory. They describe rotating, charged black holes in a rotating background. For zero background rotation, the solution is D = 5 Kerr-Newman; for zero charge it is Kerr-Gödel. In a particu...
متن کاملAn Explanation of the Newman-Janis Algorithm
After the original discovery of the Kerr metric, Newman and Janis showed that this solution could be “derived” by making an elementary complex transformation to the Schwarzschild solution. The same method was then used to obtain a new stationary axisymmetric solution to Einstein’s field equations now known as the Kerr-newman metric, representing a rotating massive charged black hole. However no...
متن کاملThe Proton as A Kerr-Newman Black Hole
The general equation governing the mass, spin and angular momentum of a KerrNewman black hole applies equally well to a proton when the gravitational coupling constant predicted by a discrete fractal paradigm is used in the equation, along with the standard mass, spin and angular momentum of the proton. c © Electronic Journal of Theoretical Physics.
